Monumental.

We spent the night on an Indian reservation last night (Monument Valley, Utah) It was dry AKA no alcoholicals - apparently the Indians can't handle their liquor but neither can the Aussies, Kiwis or Brits but when has that stopped us. They offered pretend Chardonnay and House Red and we were moved to order a glass of each. Every time people were shown to tables around us we could hear the same conversation with the waiting staff - and then the same glum response - the looks of dismay and the subsequent ordering of the pretend wine. A British couple on the next table took a shine to us and there were a few whispers and a hand signal or two to let us know they been forewarned and therefore forearmed and had already laced their pretend wine with vodka - bit desperate but they were from Croydon. We saw them later (staggering a little but trying to keep a low profile in case the Indians were watching) arriving to watch the outdoor showing of a John Wayne movie. As John would have said - "Talk low. Talk slow and don't say too much".
